About a year ago I was searching for new ways to dive into prayer. Prayer is this powerful tool that I feel few have mastered.
Praying Christian Women and their podcast is a beautiful tool I have found to help me dive deeper into my own prayer life. They discuss different strategies, give advice, and go over different prayer topics like should you pray before you travel. All of their podcasts are heavy on leaning on God and prayer for wisdom.
The podcast is lead by Alana Terry and Jamie Hampton with many special guest speakers. They are based out of Alaska and do a podcast once a week. I find it interesting that they live so far apart and do the podcast via Zoom meeting. You can watch the podcast on Youtube as well. I usually just listen to a podcast while I clean around the house.
I completely recommend this channel for women seeking to learn more about prayer as well as just looking for something wholesome to listen to. Some of their topics and guest speakers can really be deep and insightful to make you think. One I found amazing was about a mother who lost her son to sucide and how she new God was telling her that her son was in Heaven. I grew up being told that suicide is a sin that automatically means you don't get into Heaven, but her experience has totally changed the way I view the topic.
There is something for all women on their podcast. I don't listen to all of them, (like ones geared toward parenting because I'm not a mom) but man the ones that I do listen to are amazing and really get me thinking. I love listening to them chat and getting to know all the wonderful fellow Christian women on it. Some topics can be convicting and some are just educational which can be relaxing and inspirational.
You can become a friend to their podcast for low monthly donations and you can get early access to podcasts, podcasts exclusively for friend members, and other fun perks.
Overall the podcast has a truly warm and comfy feel and you will fall in love with the two hosts. Everything about it is truly God and scripture based, careful to make sure everything said is accurate. I personally found no issues with it through discernment.
